GDP Quality Textile Industry

Recently, the Chinese Academy of Sciences has ranked China's "GDP quality" for the first time in China's scientific development report 2011, which has aroused wide attention from all walks of life.

The report shows that Beijing, Shanghai, Zhejiang, Tianjin and Jiangsu ranked the top five GDP quality in all parts of China, while the GDP ranking in the western provinces is in a relatively backward position.

Some analysts believe that "

quality

Rather than simple quantities, it is significant to rank and evaluate GDP around the country.

This will help us to grasp the true level of the economic development of all parts in a more comprehensive and accurate manner, and help to break away from the "GDP worship" of the only quantity in terms of value concept, and further promote the continuous deepening of popularization of people-oriented, comprehensive, coordinated and sustainable Scientific Outlook on Development.

The media also pointed out that China has been using GDP as the sole and important indicator of local economic development and national development for many years, which can, of course, reflect the economic strength of a region and even a country to a certain extent, but this does not fully reflect the development of the economy.

Ignoring the extensive development of quality, GDP is no longer equal to a province that has entered the "strong economic province", nor does it mean China has entered an "economic power".

Niu Wenyuan, editor in chief of the report and counselor of the State Council, stressed that the purpose of this report is to enable the public to scientifically understand GDP, neither blindly worshipping GDP nor blindly abandoning GDP.

All regions in China should constantly pursue "good quality GDP", that is, "rational, efficient, less resources, less sacrificial environment, and comprehensively reduce GDP under the premise of natural cost, production cost, social cost and institutional cost".

A few years ago, Du Yuzhou, President of the China Textile Industry Association, proposed that our country

Spin

Industry must strive to accomplish the five major changes.

Transformation, vigorously promote independent research and development, import and digest, speed up technological pformation, eliminate backward equipment, increase labor productivity, improve the contribution rate of technology and brand to economic growth of textile industry; secondly, change from resource consumption to resource saving, develop circular economy and low carbon economy; third, change from ignoring environment to environment-friendly, develop cleaner production and strengthen environmental governance; fourth, pform from extensive production organization to modern intensive organization mode, promote enterprise structure, regional structure and industrial cluster structure adjustment, further expand resources, technology, production, design and research, brand, education and other all-round international cooperation; fifth, cross the market with more perfect market economy order, improve market efficiency, and strengthen industry self-discipline. The so-called "five major changes", first of all, refers to relying mainly on the comparative advantage of the labour force and relying mainly on innovation.

"Rational, efficient and less used"

Resources

"To sacrifice the environment less and reduce the cost of nature, production, society and system" now reminds us of the "five big changes" proposed by Du president. Every change is consistent with the pursuit of "quality GDP".

Over the years, China's textile industry has shouldered the heavy responsibilities of people's livelihood, national economy and international competitive advantages. It has actively adjusted its structure and changed its development mode, and has made great efforts in pursuit of "quality GDP" and has made considerable progress.

Take energy conservation and emission reduction, during the "11th Five-Year" period, the comprehensive energy consumption per unit of added value of China's textile industry has decreased by about 40%, and the amount of fresh water produced by printing and dyeing cloth per 100 meters has been reduced by 37.5%.

Pollution control and resource recycling technology have been greatly promoted.

During the "12th Five-Year" period, the energy conservation and environmental protection goals of the textile industry have also been determined: on the basis of energy saving and emission reduction to meet the national mandatory standards and the energy saving and emission reduction tasks issued by the state, large-scale cleaner production will be achieved and basically a low-carbon, green and circular economy system will be established.

People often say that there are only one wrong answer.

The pursuit of "good quality GDP" coincides with the "five great changes" in the textile industry. This is no accident, but the inevitable result derived from the Scientific Outlook on Development principle.
