Export Garments

   一季度,江苏昆山出口服装呈下降趋势,这是09年出现下降后的再次下降。

According to the Kunshan inspection and Quarantine Bureau, in the first quarter of 2010, the 3552 batch of Kunshan exported garments was 75 million 350 thousand yuan, down 4.7% and 9.8% compared to the same period last year, down 4.9% and 10% respectively.

This is another drop in 2009 after the 13.8% and 19.1% decline in garment exports.

Kunshan's clothing exports are down again, which is just a microcosm of the predicament of China's clothing export industry.

According to the inspection and quarantine department, the following five aspects directly led to a decline in Kunshan's clothing exports:

1, the international economy continues to slump.

According to the vice president of the world economic association of Shanghai, the US economy has experienced "a slow recovery" and the EU economy needs to go through a longer recession.

In the economic downturn, sales of clothing as consumer goods have dropped sharply.

Senior department stores, which account for 50% of the Japanese apparel market, have been sluggish and sales have fallen by nearly 30%.

Now the Japanese clothing market is already not clear in spring and summer, that is, the so-called summer clothing is mainly knitted products.

More than 70% of Kunshan's clothing exports to Japan, followed by the European Union, the United States and so on.

2, clothing production profit margins are small.

The production cost of garment enterprises is getting higher and higher. The average wage of the workers in the workshop is 2000 yuan, which does not include 300 yuan welfare benefits such as medical insurance, endowment insurance, work-related injury insurance and unemployment insurance.

The price of raw and auxiliary materials will not rise.

At present, the low value-added products are already small profits. If the RMB appreciates, it will become more and more deficient.

3, serious loss of sewing workers.

Due to the fact that garment enterprises can not afford the expected salaries of workers, a large number of young sewing workers are losing to the third industry.

Moreover, the expectations of the young people in the future for the future development are constantly improving, and the desire for new technology and knowledge is commented on the pure garment processing (0) (0).

Other commentaries have launched the topic related information and information forum. Please input the verification code, that is, the interest of "sewing machine" is not high, and the number of practitioners is decreasing. This is also the difficulty and challenge faced by the current clothing business operators.

After the Spring Festival this year, the wastage rate of Kunshan garment enterprises is generally 10% to 30%.

4, the scale of production is shrinking.

There are nearly 200 export garment enterprises in Kunshan (including woven garments and knitted garments), with fewer than 20 manufacturing enterprises with more than 200 employees.

Nearly 10 garment enterprises two years ago, there are more than 1000 people, currently less than 200 employees, the size of the reduction is obvious.

5, export clothing has no independent brand.

It is understood that at present, Kunshan's export garments are all OEM, and most garment enterprises rely on export processing, so they are affected by the international market.
