Adidas Strengthens Social Responsibility

The 2011 Chinese corporate social responsibility report, written by the Chinese Academy of Sciences, is officially released today.

It has been shown that Adidas, the world's most famous shoe maker, is the last to win by -4.


It is understood that the blue book research team investigated the top 100 enterprises in China, including state-owned enterprises, private enterprises and foreign enterprises, and made comprehensive assessments from the aspects of commercial bribery system, product qualification rate, social security health training, energy saving and emission reduction.

According to the blue book, in terms of enterprise category, whether state-owned enterprises, foreign enterprises or private enterprises, the social responsibility scores in China are less "poor".

The social responsibility level of top 100 enterprises is still at its infancy, and nearly half of state-owned enterprises are still on the sidelines.


Of China's top 100 state-owned enterprises, private enterprises and foreign enterprises, 26 enterprises scored 0 or even negative scores in 300 enterprises.

Among them, the average score of social responsibility development index of top 100 enterprises in foreign enterprises is only 12.5 points, with 19 (Chao Qicheng) scoring 0 points or negative scores, nearly 80% being on the sidelines, and corporate social responsibility information disclosure is seriously insufficient.

Among foreign enterprises with a score of 0 or minus, Adidas, Daimler Chrysler, Coca-Cola and other foreign-funded enterprises in China are "on the list". Adidas takes -4 as the "last resort".


Experts from the Academy of Social Sciences told reporters that this shows that the information disclosure degree of the enterprise in corporate social responsibility development planning, anti commercial bribery system and measures, as well as environmental management and energy conservation, pollution reduction and emission reduction of enterprises is very insufficient.


Of the 19 foreign-funded enterprises including Adidas (China), 16 did not find any information about social responsibility, so the indicators were 0 points.

And there are other reasons for negative scores.


During the evaluation period, the enterprises had negative information about market responsibility and social responsibility.

The brand of Adidas has been well liked by Chinese people. In the first three quarters of this year, Adidas's sales in China reached 900 million euros, up 25% compared with 721 million euros in the same period last year.


However, Adidas sometimes has some negative information.

In August this year, the Greenpeace released by the environmental protection organization released the latest survey report. It said that the products of famous brands such as ADI contained "environmental hormones", which could simulate estrogen, have an impact on biological development, and are toxic to reproductive system.

Substances on clothing will not directly cause harm to human body, but when washing, they will also accumulate further with water into rivers, threatening human health.


Prior to this, the Chinese Consumers Association also revealed that a Adidas baby suit was not in conformity with the fiber content standard.

The above problem is the concrete manifestation of the lack of social responsibility of enterprises, because negative information will be deducted.
